Is Thanksgiving a Feast of God?

Now, on Thursday, September 17th, Chuseok begins, and I am filled with excitement about meeting my family~ Also, October 17th, 24th, is God's Feast, the Feast of Tabernacles Recently, many people have been confusing the Feast of Tabernacles, God's Feast, with Thanksgiving, Let's compare the two.

First of all, there is no basis for Thanksgiving in the Bible.

However, the Encyclopedia only records it as 'a Christian holiday called Thanksgiving'.

Thanksgiving began in 1620 when 102 British Puritans left England on the Mayflower, a ship carrying wine, to escape persecution and arrived in Massachusetts, North America, a new continent. After half of them lost their lives during the harsh winter, they learned farming methods with the help of the Indians living nearby and settled down. The following fall, the Puritans had a bountiful harvest and held a festival to express their gratitude to the Indians, sharing the grain with each other. This day became the precedent for Thanksgiving Day. Today, most churches celebrate Thanksgiving Day. Catholics, Presbyterians, Methodists, and all affiliated groups celebrate Thanksgiving Day.

The Thanksgiving holiday is simply an American custom that has a 'religious meaning'. George Washington, the first president of the United States, said, "It is beautiful and noble to give joy and glory to God when you get the first harvest. In that sense, Thanksgiving Day should be a Christian festival, and all churches celebrate this day."

Basis for the Feast of Tabernacles .

Unlike Thanksgiving Day, the Feast of Tabernacles has a basis in the Bible. In the time of Moses, God designated the 15th day of the seventh month of the sacred calendar as the Feast of Tabernacles and commanded it to be observed for seven days. It is also called the Feast of Tabernacles (帳幕節) because it means staying in a tent made of tree branches for seven days, and the Feast of Ingathering (收藏節) because it means finishing the farming season for the year and storing grain. All of these names refer to the same festival (Leviticus 23:34-43, Deuteronomy 16:13-16, Exodus 23:16). Also, the Bible says that those who do not keep the Feast of Tabernacles will not receive rain (Zechariah 14:16-17), and conversely, the 'rain' that those who keep the Feast of Tabernacles will receive means the Holy Spirit that Jesus will give.

John 7:2-39 Now the Feast of Tabernacles was at hand. On the last day, that great day, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, "If any man thirst, let him come to me and drink." He who believes in me, as the Scripture has said, out of his belly will flow rivers of living water.' But this he said of the Holy Spirit whom he would receive who believed in him.

Today, the only church that observes the Feast of Tabernacles according to the deeds of Jesus Christ is the Church of God World Mission Society.

As God's people, we must observe the feasts of God that God has commanded us to observe.
There are seven feasts of God that we must observe once a year. Of these, the Feast of Tabernacles is the last feast and is observed in the fall. God has said that He will give salvation to the people who observe the feasts of God (Isaiah 33:20-22, Zephaniah 3:18).

This is not to belittle the meaning and precedent of Thanksgiving.

We also know the heart that wants to give thanks to God. However, the commandments made by man and the commandments of God must be distinguished.

Shouldn't we walk the path of a wise believer who keeps the Feast of Tabernacles, which is God's commandment, and receives the blessings of heaven?

I hope you keep the commandments of God and receive the blessings of eternal life.

If you truly want to be saved by God, you must keep God's commandments. For he who loves God keeps His commandments (1 John 2:3-6). Therefore, you must keep the Feast of Tabernacles, the feast of the New Covenant, which is God's commandment that the Bible testifies to, not Thanksgiving, which is a man-made commandment that has no basis in the Bible.

Without Christ Ahnsahnghong, the Second Coming Christ, we came to distinguish the truth from the falsehood. Thanksgiving is not from the Bible. It was made by man and it is one of the man-made laws. God warned that those who keep the law of man will never receive blessings from God. Rather, we should keep the laws of God such as the Sabbath and the Passover. We should keep the feasts of God through which we can receive abundant blessings!
