Prophecies about the Messiah
There are many prophecies about the Messiah in the book of Isaiah. About 700 years after Isaiah was written, Jesus fulfilled those prophecies.“Behold, a virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.”
Isaiah 7:14
→ Born through the virgin Mary (Matthew 1:18-23)
“There will be no more darkness for her who was in anguish. In the past the Lord despised the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, but later he has made it glorious, by the way of the sea, beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles. The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; on those who dwelt in the land of the shadow of death, light has dawned.”
Isaiah 9:1-2
