Assurance of Salvation
Are you sure of the salvation of faith?
Is that conviction not just my own idea
but a conviction that God can accept?
Do you believe that there is one God? You do well. Even the demons believe and tremble. Do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is useless? ... For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead.
James 2:19
Sound is certainly a necessary element for salvation.
However, according to the Bible,
even the demons believe in God and tremble.
This means that there is a faith that cannot lead to salvation.
The Bible puts the difference between a faith that will save you
and a faith that will not save you
in the difference between actions and inaction.
In other words, it is said that actions must be accompanied
in order to lead to salvation.!
For example,
at the Passover Supper,
Jesus said to Peter,
"If I do not wash your feet,
you have no part with me." When Jesus gave it,
Peter immediately responded to the foot-washing ceremony.
He taught Peter that even though he had faith,
he had to act.
In other words, he recognized that
the faith of action, which is to act according to Jesus' words,
is a complete faith.
So what did Jesus command?
Among all the things Jesus commanded,
the representative ones are the Sabbath and Passover of the new covenant,
Pentecost and the Feast of Tabernacles.
The Gospel of Jesus in the Church of God
Jesus kept the Sabbath, not Sunday service,
and commanded us to keep Passover, not Christmas.
He also gave us the blessing of the Holy Spirit through Pentecost and the Feast of Tabernacles.
The Church of God keeps the Sabbath and Passover,
Pentecost and the Feast of Tabernacles,
according to what Jesus taught.
The members of the Church of God
have great assurance of faith
by acting according to the words of Jesus.
Salvation is achieved through faith and works.
It is certain that we receive salvation by faith. We cannot be saved without faith. However, we should have not only faith but also deeds from faith in order to be saved.
I will obey God's commandments.
Those who have faith but do not keep the Passover will not be saved.
Yes! In Zion, I've got conviction that I have eternal life and salvation. Thanks to God the Father and God the Mother who are the Saviors in the last age of the Holy Spirit, we came to know the sure way to the kingdom of heaven. The way is to follow what the Bible says. Especially, we should follow the examples of what Jesus did. Because Jesus kept the Sabbath and the Passover, we, the members of WMSCOG observe what Jesus kept. I give eternal thanks and honor to Elohim God for allowing me the conviction of salvation within true God!
