Why the Church of God Does Not Worship the Cross.
The cross is not something that is natural
The cross has not existed since the early church, and the cross is nothing more than an executioner
that originated from a pagan religion
Why then? Does the Church of God not have a cross?
The cross is not something that is natural
The answer is in the Word of God.
The cross originated from pagan religions, not from faith in God. Even in the early church, the cross was only thought of as an execution device, and was not believed in or worshipped as a substitute for God. Today, the cross is considered a symbol of the church, but the cross does not bring salvation; salvation is received through the blood of Jesus shed on the cross.
The Bible is a book of prophecy.
So when you study the Bible, you can know that the Cross is an Idol.
Many people believe that the cross is a symbol of the church. However, for Christians, the cross is the device where Jesus, who came to save us, was killed. It can never be an object of worship. Praying to the cross and worshiping in front of the cross are both acts of idolatry.
God hates it when His people worship idols. This is because anyone who practices idolatry cannot receive salvation and will enter eternal destruction. So how can we worship the cross! The cross is merely idolatry and also an act of serving another god, the sun god. Therefore, the Church of God does not worship the cross but, according to God's teachings, keeps the New Covenant Passover established through Jesus' blood shed on the cross. We give eternal thanks to Heavenly Father Ahnsahnghong and Heavenly Mother who restored all truth and promised us salvation through the New Covenant.
God told us not to worship idols, The cross is no exception. And we can‘t embodie God.
God has told us not to make any images and has said many times that making any images and serving them is idolatry. The cross is no exception.
The cross is just a piece of wood.
The cross is an Idolatry, not a symbol of the church. The second commandment in the Ten Commandments, "You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below." We must follow God's comandment.
The 2nd of the Ten Commandments is that
“You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below.
You shall not bow down to them or worship them."
[Exodus 20:4-5]
The cross is not an exception.
Making a cross itself is to disobey God’s commandment, “Do not make an idol.”
The cross is not something we should make and serve. It is nothing more than an instrument of execution and is an object of idolatry.
Cross-reverence is idolatry that we must not even make with any materials. God prohibited us to make any kind of shape and serve it. This is the second commandment our of ten commandments, which we must keep by all means. Back to Apostolic age, we can NOT find any record that God's people erected cross and served it for the reason that Jesus sacrificed on the cross. Suppose that Jesus had died by gun, then should we set guns inside and outside of the church and pray in front of guns for our salvation? Never. God plainly say that we shall not make an idol in the form of anything!!! Let us keep in mind!
What those who do not know and do not believe in God do is idolatry. We must remember that God clearly told us not to make and serve images. The faith of Daniel and his three friends, who did not bow down to idols despite the Babylonian king’s command, was a faith that was acknowledged by God. In this age, we too must learn the will of God correctly and strictly reject idolatry that will bring about a curse. The World Mission Society Church of God, which worships according to the ordinances of the new covenant blessed by God, is a true church that does not worship idols.
Those who believe in God must follow what He wants us to do and must not conduct any evil things to God. Worshipping the cross is against God’s will. We need to understand and keep God’s commandments as they are.
God taught us that we must not make idol and worship them. We must follow God's will.
Can a cross be a symbol for a Christian belief? The answer is no. Paul says that we must keep the Passover to remember the death of Christ for us. Nowhere in the bible can we find a line which says that we must worship cross to remember the death of Christ. It is just a excuse to justify lawlessness. This teaching is coming from the Satan, not from God. We should not be the followers of Satan.
