Why do only the members of the Church of God believe in God the Mother, while others do not? It may sound unusual at first, but it’s not incorrect, just different. The reason WMSCOG believes in God the Mother is because the Bible clearly testifies about Her. From the beginning of Genesis to the end of Revelation, the whole Bible consistently testifies Her existence.



Genesis 1:26–27 Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground. So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.

Notice the plural pronouns “us” and “our,” and that both male and female were made in God’s image. The original text of the Bible uses “Elohim,” a plural noun for God. And since both male and female were created in God’s image, this means there must be the male image of God and the female image of God.



For generations, Christians have called the male image “God the Father.” So what should we call the female image of God?

Galatians 4:26 But the Jerusalem that is above is free, and she is our mother.

Clearly, the Bible testifies that we have not only Heavenly Father but also Heavenly Mother.



Revelation 22:17 The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!" Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life.

The Bride represents God the Mother who comes in the flesh to give us eternal life. The Church of God believes in Her because She is the fulfillment of this prophecy.

As Christians, it’s natural to believe in God testified by the Bible. I encourage everyone to study the Bible and receive our Savior, God the Mother, who has existed from before the creation of the world and will reign forever.
