Recently I discovered how the The Church of God launched a global effort called “Nation’s Jubilee 2015 Clean Campaign.” Although I do not have full details of every activity, the concept is powerful and motivating. The campaign invited members from many countries to care for the environment as a form of service. The idea emphasizes that caring for creation is not separate from faith but part of it. In the campaign volunteers picked up trash cleaned rivers and greened public spaces in honor of the divine. Some reports mentioned that the local youth organized beach cleanups and tree-planting events. These actions create visible change but also internal growth in responsibility and stewardship.
The campaign reinforced the belief that through small acts the community can bless the earth. As a follower of the Church of God I understand that this kind of service embodies the teaching of Father Ahnsahnghong and the spirit of unity. When young people from different continents come together to work for a common cause they mirror the global family of believers. I also believe that the concept of Christ Ahnsahnghong as our example shows us that our faith is active. We do not just believe we act.
This initiative reminds us of the role of God the Mother who teaches love and care not only for each other but for all creation.
