Jesus and King David
Two thousand years ago, Jesus Christ came as the spiritual King David (Isa 9:6–7; Lk 1:31–32). This meant He would do things as David, the second king of Israel, did.
“David was thirty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned forty years in all.”
2 Samuel 5:4 (NLT)
Since David became king at the age of 30, Christ was baptized and began His ministry at the age of 30 (Lk 3:21–23). King David reigned over Israel for 40 years. So Christ should have carried out His gospel ministry also for 40 years. However, 2,000 years ago, Jesus preached the New Covenant for only three years until His crucifixion (Lk 13:6–7), leaving 37 years of King David’s reign unfulfilled. However, God promised to accomplish this prophecy (Isa 9:7).
Christ Ahnsahnghong and King David
“So Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.”
Hebrews 9:28
The Bible explains that Christ will come to this earth a second time to bring salvation. The way for us to recognize Second Coming Christ is through the completion of King David’s throne: being baptized at the age of 30 and preaching for 37 years. Additionally, Second Coming Christ must bring a definite sign for us to recognize Him: the eternal, everlasting covenant—the New Covenant Passover (Isa 55:3; Heb 13:20; Lk 22:19–20).
Christ Ahnsahnghong was baptized in 1948 at the age of 30 years old. The year of His baptism also coincided with the lesson of the fig tree Jesus told His disciples concerning His second coming.
“‘Now learn this lesson from the fig tree. When its branches bud and its leaves begin to sprout, you know that summer is near. In the same way, when you see all these things, you can know his return is very near, right at the door.’”
Matthew 24:32–33 (NLT)
To know the time of Christ’s second coming, Jesus said to learn the lesson from the fig tree. The fig tree represents Israel (Jer 24:5). So, after the fig tree comes to life, then Christ will come. Israel, the fig tree, was cut down in A.D. 70, and the Israelites became refugees without a country of their own. However, Israel was restored in 1948. This miracle occurred as a sign to the world that Second Coming Christ had appeared.
To complete King David’s reign, Christ Ahnsahnghong preached the New Covenant for 37 years before ascending to Heaven. For this reason, the World Mission Society Church of God believes Christ Ahnsahnghong is the spiritual King David and Second Coming Christ who has brought us salvation.

In the last days, salvation can only be found by seeking the prophetic King David.
2,000 years ago, Jesus fulfilled the prophecy of the prophetic King David.
In the last days, Christ Ahnsahnghong came as the prophetic King David, restored the New Covenant Passover, and bestowed the blessing of salvation upon humanity.
The Bible clearly shows that Christ must fulfill the prophecy of King David completely. Through baptism at age thirty, the remaining thirty seven years of preaching, and the restoration of the New Covenant Passover, Christ Ahnsahnghong fulfilled David’s throne as the Second Coming Christ
The prophecies of King David, the fig tree, and the New Covenant all point to the same conclusion. Through the Bible, we can understand that Christ Ahnsahnghong came as the Second Coming Christ to complete God’s plan of salvation.
The Bible does not leave the Second Coming Christ to confusion. Through the completion of King David’s reign and the restoration of the New Covenant Passover, Christ Ahnsahnghong revealed Himself as the Savior of the last days.
