Lk 22:15 And he said to them, "I have eagerly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer.
Why did Jesus so eagerly desire to eat the Passover?
It is because He wanted to give us eternal life.
Jn 6:54 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.
We must eat Jesus' flesh and drink His blood to have eternal life.
Then, how can we eat Jesus' flesh and drink His blood?
Lk 22:19-20 And he took bread ... "This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me." ... "This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you."
The Passover is the way to eat Jesus' flesh and drink His blood.
To give us eternal life, Jesus eagerly desired to eat the Passover.
Those who keep the Passover in obedience to God's will can receive eternal life and enter the heaven.
