The Reason Christ Ahnsahnghong and God the Mother Say, “Do Not Conform to the Pattern of This World.” Since our bodies are the temple of God, whom God bought with His blood, we should not behave like the Israelites who were tempted by Satan and indulged in sexual immorality at the end of their journey in the desert or like Esau who sold his birthright because of hunger. We should live a righteous life that follows God, not this wicked and adulterous world.

The Members of the Church of God Follow God with Holy and Godly Lives When the world is full of sin and adultery, God judges the world. Just as God judged the wicked generation with water in the days of Noah and with fire in the days of Sodom and Gomorrah, God foretold through the prophets that He would judge this wicked and adulterous generation with fire and taught His children to live holy and godly lives.

 

2 Peter 3:6–12

By these waters also the world of that time was deluged and destroyed. By the same word the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly. . . . You ought to live holy and godly lives as you look forward to the day of God and speed its coming. . . .
