God established His commandments to guide His people to salvation and eternal life. Among them, the Sabbath is a precious commandment that God instructed His people to keep holy.

 

Exodus 20:8

"Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy."

 

Among the Ten Commandments, the fourth commandment is to remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. Jesus Christ, our Savior, also kept the Sabbath and set an example for those who follow Him.

 

Luke 4:16

"He went to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, and on the Sabbath day he went into the synagogue, as was his custom."

 

As God's children, we should follow the example of Christ and keep the Sabbath day.

 

Today, many people worship on Sunday without knowing its historical origin. However, Sunday worship is not a commandment given by God in the Bible.

 

Jesus taught that only those who do the will of God will enter the kingdom of heaven.

 

Matthew 7:21

"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven."

 

Therefore, we should do God's will and follow His commandments so that we may enter the kingdom of heaven.
