Ayone who has attended church has probably heard the word Passover at least once. However, not many people know exactly what the Passover of the New Covenant is or actually keep it. Some even say that the Passover was abolished and therefore no longer needs to be observed today.
However, when we examine the teachings of Jesus Christ, we find a different answer. The Church of God believes that the Passover of the New Covenant established by Jesus should still be kept today and shares this truth with people around the world. Then why must we keep the Passover of the New Covenant?
Before His crucifixion, Jesus kept the Passover and established the New Covenant through the bread and wine (Matthew 26:26 to 28). Through the Passover of the New Covenant, He granted the blessing of forgiveness of sins. For sinners who were cast down to this earth after committing sins in heaven, there is no blessing more necessary than forgiveness of sins.
Jesus also taught that whoever eats His flesh and drinks His blood will receive eternal life (John 6:53 to 54). In Luke 22:19 to 20, He established the New Covenant through the bread and wine and commanded His disciples to keep it in remembrance of Him. Therefore, the Passover of the New Covenant is the truth of life that contains the promises of forgiveness of sins and eternal life.
The Passover of the New Covenant was not established for Jesus Himself. It was a gracious gift given for our salvation. Therefore, if we believe in the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross, we should also cherish and keep the Passover of the New Covenant that He established.
The apostles and members of the early Church faithfully kept the Passover of the New Covenant according to the teachings of Jesus. However, after the Passover was abolished at the Council of Nicaea in AD 325, this truth disappeared from the world for many centuries. What is important is that it was not God who abolished the Passover. It was abolished by people.
God established the Passover as an everlasting regulation and granted His people the blessings of salvation through it. Today, many people are receiving the blessings of forgiveness of sins and eternal life through the Passover of the New Covenant restored by Father Ahnsahnghong.
I hope that everyone will come to understand the value of the Passover of the New Covenant, keep this truth of life given by God, and ultimately enter the eternal Kingdom of Heaven.
There is no reason that we do not keep the Passover of the New covenant.
We can receive the eternal life and forgiveness of sins through the Passover.
The reason we must keep the New Covenant Passover in this age is that it is a holy ordinance of God.
We can receive salvation through the New Covenant Passover.
I give thanks to Christ Ahnsahnghong, who has granted us the New Covenant Passover.
The New Covenant is God’s will.
While many people regard the Passover merely as an Old Testament historical event or a festival of the past, this reminds me once again that the New Covenant Passover was exactly what Jesus earnestly desired to keep just before His crucifixion.
In particular, the historical reality that it was arbitrarily abolished by human authority at the Council of Nicaea in AD 325 is something every believer today should seriously reflect upon.
I was deeply moved by the clear emphasis that the true standard of faith lies in keeping the truth established by God as an eternal ordinance, rather than following a system altered by man.
The Old Testament Passover of the Exodus from Egypt is a type, and the New Covenant Passover is the reality.
You must find out.
