Many Christians around the world believe in only God the Father.

However, the Bible testifies that there are not only God the Father but also God the Mother.

 

Ge 1:26

Then God said, "Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness ..."

 

If God the Creator, who made mankind, is God the Father alone, He should have said, "Let me make mankind in my image, in my likeness."

But God said, "Let us make mankind." Why did God refer to Himself as "us"?

 

Ge 1:27

So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.

 

Male and female were created in the image and likeness of God.

This means that God exists as the male image and as the female image.

We call the male image of God "God the Father."

Then, what should we call the female image of God? Of course, God the Mother.

Thus, there is God the Mother as well as God the Father.

That's why God referred to Himself as "us."

 

According to the teachings of the Bible, we must believe not only in God the Father but also in God the Mother.

The World Mission Society Church of God believes in both God the Father and God the Mother.
